Amanda Dollar

Amanda has been an avid animal lover since she was a little girl. Growing up, if she found an injured or sick animal, Amanda rallied the help of her parents to seek medical care. She could never bear the thought of an animal suffering! Amanda joins Tavares Crossroads Veterinary Clinic with 23+ years of animal medicine experience. Amanda was given a wonderful opportunity at age 18, in which she is still grateful, to begin working as a receptionist at her local veterinary clinic, and continued to expand her skillset over the years from attending to hospitalized patients, to office management. Over the years, she has worked with several different rescue groups fostering and helping place animals in their forever homes, even if that turns out to be hers! This includes 5 dogs, (Mercy, Meeko, Paisley, Penny, and Spencer) and 2 Skinny Pigs, (Dabi and Killua).

During this time Amanda has also raised two wonderful children. Joseph, who is a United States Marine, and McKenzie, who will be a senior in high school this year. When not in the clinic, Amanda loves to spend time with her fiance, Michael and her children. The family enjoys bowling, fishing trips, bike riding, and all things nature related!
